Alcuin nó Delaunay & Phèdre nó Delaunay
When requesting Alcuin, I usually ask for an AU where he survives, but I'm willing to make an exception for this exchange: what if Alcuin lingers after death as a ghost, haunting Phèdre either through actual visitations or through ambiguous dreams and moments? What if Phèdre actually isn't sure if she's being haunted by Alcuin or something just using his face and/or voice? What if Alcuin returns, but he comes back subtly wrong? Or what if Phèdre herself is having a weird unsettling near-death experience and Alcuin's spirit shows up to help guide her back to the earthly Terre d'Ange?

Or what if Alcuin survived the attack on Delaunay's townhouse, but not without some terrible cost, perhaps as a result of one of the gods deciding to use him for their own purposes? (Camael or Kushiel changing his nature to give Alcuin a taste for violence/punishment?) There's always been a subtle element of horror to Kushiel's influence on Phèdre's life, so I'd also just love to see an exploration of that from her (with or without her as unreliable narrator) or the outside POV of Alcuin witnessing the burdens of being Kushiel's Chosen, or with Alcuin being burdened in his own way giving Phèdre an additional angle to consider the existential terror of being a god's tool.

Imriel de la Courcel & Melisande Shahrizai
My first thought was an AU where Melisande "wins" in some way, and either gets to raise Imriel from infancy or manages her scheme of eventually plucking him out of obscurity and using him to win the throne. In any case, a scenario where Imriel grows up influenced by and adoring his mother, either not aware of or not overly troubled by all the lives sacrificed at the altar of Melisande's ambition. Maybe he starts to have nightmares about people he's never met who once lived in the palace (Ysandre, Rolande, Isabel, Delaunay?). Maybe he starts having visions of bloody walls and corpses. Maybe Kushiel wants him to rise up against his mother. Maybe he takes a wrong turn one evening and finds Phèdre in a padded dungeon cell, surrounded by luxurious things but looking utterly sad and defeated. Maybe he even has a sister called Alais or Sidonie, who doesn't really resemble him but who Melisande swears is his blood relation. (I totally encourage a weird gothic scenario where Imriel and Sidonie are still attracted to each other but Imriel thinks they're siblings instead of cousins and Sidonie knows they're not but has her own reasons for not telling him... yet)

That said, I'm also very much open to post-canon horror or more milder canon divergences for this request!

I'm fine with ambiguous or unhappy endings for these requests providing it's not a last minute bait-and-switch sort of thing where everything is leading towards a hopeful ending and then bam, everyone's dead/evil, surprise! Uplifting/hopeful endings are also fine.

Tokyo Mew Mew was supposed to be a horror series originally. I can totally see it! - For J.D. and Sandy, man we didn't get enough of these two in canon! I loved their whole dynamic. I like the idea of something weird going on, Sandy going to J.D. because Coffey isn't really listening to her at that point, and then it turns out it's way weirder than either of them expected.

- For Diane, Kristen, and Cindy, what better set of Final Girls than this?? Plus they all have hung around the police station at some point, so they could go get all of the files and figure out what's going on behind the murders/abductions/people vanishing/etc.

- For J.D. & Neal, them investigating anything - and then whatever they're investigating starts investigating them back. Maybe Neal is more the skeptic at first and thinks J.D. has relapsed or has too much of an imagination, but then cracks the case and is able to save J.D. Or maybe Neal is investigating the hazing case in s5 and it turns out there's even more sinister stuff going on beneath the surface than it even appeared?

- J.D. and Kristen. Their dynamic was a lot of fun to watch, with J.D. being the ultimate sleazeball. What if Kristen gets a lead in some kind of murder case or other odd occurrence and calls J.D. for help? What if she wants to tag along on a *real* stakeout ala True Crime and the shit hits the fan?

This film has grown on me so hard over the years. It revels in what it is, and while I wasn't sure about it when it first came out, I unashamedly love it now, and I'd love to see more of the world beyond the wall explored, particularly the relationship between Sol and Cally, how they came to be in such different places at the start of the film. Clearly their upbringing was all kinds of fucked up. I ship them, so consider this very much requested incest, but equally I'd be happy to see this treated as gen and to see the sibling relationship explored instead.

How did Sol come to be the leader of the cannibals? How do the various factions get on generally? And what's life beyond the wall like, either when they were growing up or closer to when canon is set? This series is so gloriously weird, and this episode in particular. Scenery-chewing, Hammer-horror-esque sets, Howard in a loose shirt and undone waistcoat exploring darkened corridors and brandishing a candelabra, the heavily implied incestuous attraction between him and his daughter…. uh, and FYI, those scenes between them are some of the most uncomfortably hot things I’ve ever seen, and oh, hey, turns out I ship it. Oh, damn, he’s really distraught and guilty over what happened? Turns out I REALLY ship it.

I ship them hard, but I'm equally happy for their relationship to be treated as entirely gen. I absolutely love their dynamic and how utterly devoted they are to each other, even despite how fucked up their relationship is. What I’d especially love to see is the two of them taking comfort in each other even in the midst of all the horror. For the incest aspect, I'd be delighted with anything from them guiltily embracing it, to canon-style plausibly deniable smarm. What I particularly love about it is how it's mainly Mary driving it, and how visibly uncomfortable Howard is with the inappropriate touching. XD

Answer some of canon's unanswered questions. Is Mary possessed? What happened at the Villa Diodati? Are the Huberts really murderers?

Optional Prompts
- As far as I’m concerned, the incesty bits are absurdly hot. Give me the slow creep from affection to something much darker.
- Unreliable narrator. As the whole thing is filtered through Howard’s narration, perhaps events may not necessarily have played out as he claims.
- Explore the aftermath of canon. Is she mad? Is she dead and somehow been reanimated? Does she have lucid moments? Is she specifically reenacting the role of that female marionette? And Howard, stuck caring for this poor broken creature whom he still adores, but she keeps on with the inappropriate touching. Maybe it distresses her not to have the puppet show reenacted, so he plays along with it as much as he can bear, until one day in a moment of weakness, he breaks and sleeps with her, and oh god the guilt, the horrible horrible GUILT.
- Possessiveness – Bites and scratches and bruises as claiming – Yep, also something that I basically just think is hot. :D Maybe Mary isn’t just this broken doll, but something with a malicious streak. And maybe Howard has given up and is already sleeping with her, or he’s trying to be noble and self-sacrificing (successfully or otherwise), but as far as she’s concerned, he belongs to her in every way: as father, lover, husband, victim, and marks him accordingly.
- An epistolary fic. Letters that explore what’s going on, pre, during or post-canon, or which explore another story, perhaps from an Outsider POV, where Howard and Mary have moved, and to make it easier to explain away the occasional moments of inappropriate touching, he’s decided to pretend she’s his wife rather than his daughter. It makes things simpler. Except it doesn’t, of course.
- What really happened at the Villa Diodati?
- Missing scenes from canon. Explore their chess games, Elsbeth’s alcoholism, that transition between ‘o what a lovely peaceful guesthouse’ to ‘clearly these people are murdering their guests.’ Or answer the question of what really happened at the Villa Diodati.

Art Prompts
More of the visuals in this episode, really. The way it wallows in the gothic atmosphere, the puppets. I'd love something that plays with light and shadows, oil lamps, Howard's shirt and candelabra brandishing, her clinging to him... or something post-canon with him caring for her. Also maybe something that uses the puppet theme? The two of them unaware of a giant creepy shadow of a puppeteer on the wall behind them?

I love this series so much. It’s basically made for me, the tone of it, the first two episodes with their quiet almost M.R Jamesian eerie ghost stories reconceptualised as kiiiiind of sci-fi with creepy cosmic horror elements, but they never move away from them as ghost stories. I ship Sapphire/Steel hard, but equally happy with gen.

They fascinate me so much, especially Steel, since while I could believe Sapphire used to be human, I don't for a second buy that of him. I especially appreciate the darker aspects of his character, the way he's willing to do some pretty awful things in the course of his job. But then there's also the way he shifts over the course of the series, particularly in the Dinner Party episode where the Miles and Veronica personas almost seem to take on lives of their own.

I'm also completely here for fucked-up bad endings. Follow up on the bleak way the series ends. What do they do together for the rest of eternity stuck in that miserable little greasy spoon? Or give me a horror story, whether more outright horror the more understated canon-style ghost stories, or something closer to canon. One thing I loved about the various assignments was the way they impacted on the various guest stars, so if you want to explore how they’re affected afterwards, please do. Or explore the cosmic horror elements of canon, the creatures moving against them, the transient life forms… and what the hell are the transuranics, anyway?

- One of them is forced to choose between the other and the greater good.
- Just give me a canon-style casefic and I'll be delighted.
- Explore the canon ending. I love how bleak it is and the idea of them being trapped together potentially for eternity. Do they age at all? Are the transient beings still fucking with them or have they been completely abandoned? What happened to Silver?
- I really love the idea of Miles and Veronica being called into existence as a Tommy-and-Tuppence style married couple who trip around the 1930s (or a version of the 80s which looks weirdly like the 30s) solving murders whilst being ecstatically in love. Which would be lovely except that their very existence is damaging the fabric of time.
- The mention of the Marie Celeste in the first assignment suggests they don’t necessarily deal with their cases in chronological order. They deal with a case from another time period.

Optional Art Prompts
Art-wise, I would absolutely love something that captures the atmosphere of canon, or which bumps up the horror elements. And them, just the two of them, the way they stand so close together – which, yes, shippy, but also a little eerie at the same time because of the lack of personal space. The way they touch each other, all those little moments where they hold hands, or Steel kisses her on her cheek or her hand. Ghosts, bannisters, non-Euclidean impossible spaces. Sapphire being serene and elegant with Steel so tense he’s practically vibrating. And, um, I know this is ridiculous, but I have a bit of a thing about the way Steel goes up and down stairs, so I will be over the moon with anything that incorporates staircases, however you choose to interpret that.

I have a huge soft spot for monster movies, and Anaconda is one of my favourites. I unashamedly love it. It’s a fun film to watch, I like all the characters, and something about the setting of a bunch of people isolated on a boat hits my id hard. Then on top of that there’s everything which happens between Terri and Paul Serone. It's so skeevy and messed up, so dubcon, sex pollen, and forced seduction are all possibilities here, but I'd be equally happy with gen.

Silly popcorn movie or not, I actually find the character dynamics in it kind of interesting and there’s potentially quite a lot to explore. I like that the characters don’t always act as expected, such as when Gary throws his lot in with Serone, and the pompous English dickhead (there’s always one) much more likeable in a moment of crisis. And then there’s Serone himself: simultaneously revolting, sinister and OTT. Is all the priest stuff real or is it an act? I also like the idea of exploring the conflict in having to rely on someone who is simultaneously a threat to your life, and I would be particularly interested in explorations of his character where he isn’t just the cartoon villain he almost becomes in canon, but treated as a rounded character, ruthless and brutal as he is.

Optional Prompts
- An AU where Steven and Serone come to an agreement about which way to travel so there’s no need for the wasp. (Maybe Serone manages to persuade him or they’ve met previously?) How would that change the course of the film, with perhaps the others suspecting him slightly less? After all, he was right about the tribe...
- Something goes wrong, and Terri and Serone are separated from the rest of the crew (or everyone else is killed).
- The attempt to distract Serone goes horribly wrong and she has to go through with it.
- Why is Serone so obsessed with that damn snake? Is it really purely about money, or is there something more at work? Is it any snake, or is it purely that specific snake that he’s after? And I am, as always, up for backstory and character development.
- Something Lovecraftian here, exploring obsession and the possibility that the anacondas are harbingers of an Elder God. Maybe the near-madness of facing it creates a kind of bond between them, which she can’t escape afterwards as much as she hates him. Terri as their chosen high priestess?

Optional Art Prompts
I mean… snakes? Lots and lots and lots of snakes. Terri as some kind of snake-goddess? I’d love to see some scenery porn for this, or possibly a cut-through scene where we can see on the deck of the boat and underneath and the anaconda can be seen readying to strike while everyone remains completely oblivious. The imagery of the blood orchid? Waterfalls? Terri and Paul having to work together to survive, or fighting each other while surrounded by thousands of snakes.
