I love some good mental health issues and psychological horror and doubting reality. I love seeing characters suffer. I don't usually read or watch a lot of horror so honestly, surprise me! Some hurt/comfort is good, but so are things like unstoppable happenings like body transformation or decay or what have you. Maybe Yuno did something and caused a situation he can't take back, he can't make into a fun joke, and simply has to accept now. Or maybe it isn't Yuno's fault and it was something else. Maybe Eli wanted to play a prank on Yuno and it went horribly wrong. Maybe the Cleanbois made a fatal mistake while heisting. I also love mental hospitals as a setting so feel free to do with those what you will!

Felvidek is a short (~4-6 hour) retro horror RPG that's on steam. There are playthroughs on youtube.
I adore everything about the horror in this game - the body horror, the transformation, the folk-horror-ishness of the way the townsfolk react to the cult and the disappearances, all the religious strife and horror, the violence, the intimations of torture, everything! I would love just more of any of it, or anything in the same world.
For Adam & Matej, I'd love to know more about mass in the meat keep, or anything about their interactions before, during, or after the game. Matej seems less fazed by all the monsters than Pavol - has he encountered anything like them before? Has Adam's miscreant-hunting led him to other crazy shit?
For Pavol & Matej, also any closer look into any of the game scenes would be fantastic - maybe an expansion of the scene where they find the sickhead cultist transforming into a monster underneath villa elektra? Or I'd love postcanon fic where they meet again, whether it's because Matej is sent out again or because Pavol finds himself in Debrecen for whatever reason.
I ship any combination of Adam, Matej, Jozef, and Pavol but ofc also happy with gen! Love the rest of the characters also, would love eg Matej and Pavol's reactions to Ida and Dezi's relationship continuing even after Dezi got transformed.

This 11-minute webseries was made to promo NBC's Dracula (2013) but I like it for itself alone! I'd love to know more about Iosif and Vlad - how did Iosif come to work there, did he work for any of the voivodes before Vlad, his reaction to any of the mundane violent horrors of Wallachia's princely court... or, of course, what happens after the end, with Iosif's ominous comments about what happens to Vlad. Ofc it's implied he becomes a vampire, but what's he like newly-turned? Does he have control of himself, or do things go bad? Did the Order intend to vamp him, or did something go wrong with the curse they meant to do?
I'm very happy to ship them - I was very 👀👀 when Iosif was like "She loved him... I loved him." (Also happy for threesome with Ilona!)

I am in LOVE with the alt hist of Mihaly being a vampire!! And I adore everything about the body horror of these vampires: the undeath, the blood drinking, the mind control, the healing-through-blood... all amounts of Matthias whump and torture are very welcome here. I really enjoy the idea of him knowing what's happening to him as it all goes down; maybe he regains a little control between vampire whammies, but never quite enough to escape (bad end) or does manage to escape and get his kingdom back (good end)?

Wow is there a lot of canon horror to work with here! This Holmes is so unstable already, poor thing, and I love how stalwart Watson is despite having absolutely no idea what’s going on most of the time. All of the eldritch horror in this game is just wonderful, and I love how much it complicates investigations when it starts to mess with Holmes’ mind. The rituals/game mechanics are so much fun and so gnarly, and Holmes battling with how to make logical sense of eldritch horror is always wonderful. Feel free to throw new types of supernatural elements at them (just keep the Victorian setting, please), I'm very here for them suddenly having to deal with ghosts, vampires, or something along those lines.

I love the creepiness and horror of this canon, and the way that it twists the familiar aspects of Holmes canon into something new. I’m especially intrigued by how this world functions, and how daily life is affected by being ruled by the Old Ones. I'd love to see any pre- or post-canon exploration of Holmes and Watson's work. I just love the Babylon 5 universe, and so much suffering and horror happens in canon. In space, there's plenty of opportunities for canon. Expanding on canon horror elements would be great, there's so many nasty things out there in space whether terrifying aliens/monsters/whatever, or just the grim reality of being in space. I also especially love how the First Ones are so eldritch horror, just these incomprehensible beings with goals of their own. The general vibe of the Shadows and their spooky screaming ships delights me. For Bester, I'd also be especially interested to see something related to his telepathy, whether the things he sees in other people's minds, his deathbed scans, or something else.

There's already a lot of horror with the Cylon threat, and I'd love to see anything featuring that. Assassins, attacks on the fleet, ambushes while trying to get resources. Edward James Olmos might not like aliens, but I absolutely do, so I'd be down for the Fleet running into something else while exploring. Or maybe there are more threats on Earth than anticipated... I want to keep the sci fi canon setting overall, but feel free to toss in whatever supernatural elements you like! The Fleet being literally haunted might be fun.

There's all sorts of wonderful horror scenarios in Middle-earth lore in general, from the forces of evil to assorted monsters to canon events. For any of the Elves, I'd be interested to see how the effect of just seeing SO much over time builds up, being immortal sounds like it could get so overwhelming especially when so much of that time has been spent at war. Poor Celebrimbor also is just in a complete horror scenario for all of S2, and I'd love to see how he tries to cope with that in a Celebrimbor Lives AU (feel free to maul him more first). Then you've got the Dwarves dealing with the Balrog and all sorts of fun times there. What other troubles can Nori, Poppy, and Gandalf get into? I really wanted to know more about the whole Dark Wizard scenario going on there, so I'd love to see more exploration of what exactly is going on in Rhun.

Pretty much all of the Fringe canon is horror vibes, and I love it. I love Walter's enthusiasm for all the things they run across and his out of the box solutions for dealing with them. Canon monsters, Observers being Observers, bizarre inexplicable events, Walter's always shaky sanity... The first three seasons were my favorite. The general creeping "the world is going to end unless we can save it" insidious horror is fun too. Also, I'd love to see them have to deal with some classic monsters or other supernatural elements!

There's so much built-in horror already, between the vampires and the reality of trying to survive. I'd love more digging into the worldbuilding and just what it's like to try to get through a day here. Or maybe there's a new threat they have to deal with? I want to keep the setting overall, but I'm very here for new supernatural enemies turning out to exist too. Maybe the Occido Lumen talks about more than vampires, or has some other sort of fun eldritch element. Or they run across another artifact with unexpected consequences. What if there's ALSO classic vampires in addition to the canon ones? Or ghosts? Or some other horrifying thing?

I got unreasonably excited to see these two in the tagset because I love them. Between the horrors of war in general and the horrors of the Others, there's already a lot of built in terrifying elements in canon. I'm especially into backstory exploration for these two. Davos has been serving Stannis for so very long, and I'd love to see anything from their initial meeting with the horror being the whole situation at Storm's End, to trouble at King's Landing while Stannis is on the Small Council, to the Greyjoy Rebellion. Also up for anything set post book 5, I'd love to actually see them trying to battle the forces of the Others. Westeros also has a hell of a lot of other monsters, magic, and various creatures that could be used for horror, and I'm also up for adding any other sort of supernatural element/eldritch horror/whatever to the canon setting.

I knew when I watched this movie it would be all I thought about for the next three business months and so there is. I'm so excited to see what you come up for this canon! I think if you have a story you're burning to tell for the characters requested that fits the parameters for this challenge, lay it on me. If you'd like more guidance, read on ahead.
DNWs: Eye violence, Non-con (exceptions noted in specific prompts), Pregnancy (the existence of children/babies are fine), Explicit sexual content involving characters under the age of 18, Fic focusing on gender dysphoria, homophobia (external or internal), transphobia, racism from the pov of the racist, racism as a dominant theme in the story, racism putting the character into acute distress outside the events of the movie.
Art Prompts: More of the wood-cut style of the introduction. Character studies -- vampire versions of characters who don't turn in canon (Annie, Smoke, Sammie), or Remmick as an ancient Irish bard, Stack and his vest and his gold fangs, the Southern Gothic aesthetic, SWAMPS AND BOGS, blood lots of blood, smoke and fog. Fun fact, Dracula came out the year before the events of this movie -- I'd love to see Smoke & Stack, or Smoke & Annie in gorgeous, shimmering black & white, Sinners: The Musical poster featuring Sammie and Remmick.
Smoke & Stack: I'm happy to receive this as gen or ship configuration, especially with Stack literally seducing his brother to the dark side. I'm fascinated by the pair of them, their deep and troubled history, their evil dead daddy (who happened to be a wicked bluesman himself -- maybe he sold his soul to the devil for success -- or one of his sons?), the war, love troubles with Annie and Mary, double-crossing Chicago gangs and finally: vampires. What if it's Smoke that gets turned? What does Stack mean when he says that he doesn't want Annie to get between them again?
Even with Smoke's canonical end, that's not to say that he's really gone from Stack's mind. Does he try to connect to his dead twin again, through someone who has talents like Sammie's?
Annie: Annie, what a compelling character. She does hold herself with the gravitas and wisdom of an older person, but she also lightens up when she's around Smoke (and honestly, I really like glimpse of the silliness of the relationship she has with Stack -- which makes the end all the sadder! I do ship Annie/Smoke, but I realized that I'd rather the story be focused on Annie rather than on their relationship. I don't mind a story has them as a big part of it, however. Or Smoke/Annie/Stack. Honestly? Annie/Mary too. I did wonder where Mary stayed the night of her mother's funeral. Maybe with Annie? Maybe they got to talking about some ghosts?)
I want to know more about Annie's life before Smoke (learning her hoodoo practice from her grandmother, coming from Louisiana?) or between Smoke leaving and the events of the movie. She tells Smoke that her powers couldn't save the life of their baby, but could it be something that she actually tried -- but the price for it was too high? Has she run into haints before, and she knows how to lay them? A character who already knows their fate (by throwing the bones and confirming it) and still taking steps to save who can be saved-- it's such a tough but admirable space to be. Ugh. Annie. Love her.
Sammie & Remmick: Here's the thing -- do you think Sammie's confrontation with Remmick ends up becoming part of the Great American Songbook, ala The Devil Went Down to Georgia? Silver guitar versus banjo at dawn? Does some of the nuances get lost in the telling and retelling -- like how neither God nor the Devil really had anything to do with who won? (The part where Sammie is saying the Lord's Prayer and Remmick joins him will never not give me chills. Love it.)
It's sad that Sammie never truly escaped what happened that night at Club Juke. Tell me more about how he's haunted by Remmick -- what if they talk about history, music, the blues? You know, the stuff that they didn't get to because of all the murders last time.
Other ideas: Remmick tries the slow approach to get Sammie on his own. Maybe he’s lurking outside of a tent revival? Maybe he’s just a snake in the grass? Alternatively, Sammie does succeed in sacrificing himself to the vampire collective to save his friends — does the process of losing his connection to the ancestors happen all at once, or is it gradual? Does Remmick lose interest after that? (And if so, does Sammie stake him anyway?)

Crawford is exactly the kind of woobie I like, meek, damaged, and deeply traumatised, and I love how rutheless and single-minded Katherine is. I love that whole early stretch of the film when it's just Crawford, Katherine and Bubba in the house, investigating the murder of Dr Pretorius while also poking about the machine. It's so claustrophobic and intimate and sexually charged, and while this isn't a ghost story in the traditional sense, it hits what I like about that trope.
I ship Crawford/Katherine, but I'm not averse to a Crawford/Katherine/Bubba threesome, but non-shippy fic is just as welcome: mainly I just love the gloopy OTT gore and Crawford being terrified, both of which canon is generous with. :D

Such a fun, trashy little film. The basic concept of monsters in a cave is a bulletproof trope for me and I adore Cathryn and Haggis, both the individual characters and their ‘us against the world’ dynamic, whatever the hell their relationship is, or was, or might have been. I ship them, but I am just as into the unresolved pining shown in canon, or for their relationship to be treated as entirely platonic.
I’d love to see something that explores pre-canon, because the film really does does drop us right smack in the middle of things. How did the townspeople finally figure out the creatures existed, and how long has it been common knowledge? Why haven’t they left? Or a canon-divergent fic where things shake out differently: maybe his injuries weren’t quite that serious which means he survives and she has to patch him up? Or the Martenses haven’t quite all been killed and come after them looking for revenge? Or give me a moment between them: have they ever hooked up while drunk or had inadvisable ‘thank god we’re alive’ sex? Pining, whump, their us against the world dynamic. The film would also make a hell of a lot more sense as a post-apocalyptic AU.

I am as you can probably guess fascinated by ghouls, their place in the game, and all the chewy little complexities about their existence, the question of where they fit in the word. And for the record I ship all these pairings, (including age-appropriate Shaun/Billy), but non-shippy fic is just as welcome. I’m particularly drawn to survival horror for this canon (because it seems like the most obvious possibility, but to be clear I will be delighted with ANY of my requested horror genres), but also for explorations of the horror potential that comes from being a ghoul – the horrors of transformation, the ever-present fear of the slide into becoming feral and attacking the ones you love: if you really go digging it’s nightmare fuel. Or something along the more horror-flavoured questlines: Dunwich quarry, the harbourmaster hotel, or just go ham on the zombie-esque flavour of feral ghouls. For the record, I really, really love the way ferals squirm out of small spaces when you get too close: the noise they make and how terrifyingly fast they move. *shiver*
I love the Cabot questline so so much and it kills me that half the time it glitches and I can’t rescue Emogene. Play with the Lovecraft references all you want. I’m fascinated by the repercussions of the ending: at what point does it occur to Jack and the family that they have in Edward an example of a whole other form of potential immortality, complete with immunity to diseases and radiation? Maybe they run into Hancock via the Sole Survivor, or Emogene catches wind of it while she’s in Goodneighbour? The horrors of transformation? Or the alternative version of the quest where the Sole Survivor can persuade Edward to join forces with Lorenzo and murder the family – (which I’ve never been able to bring myself to play.)
It kills me that we can’t invite Billy and his family to one of our settlements, especially because there’s a good chance his parents know the people from Quincy, so I headcanon that the sole survivor does than and Shaun and Billy become friends. I’m drawn to the experience of kids in this world, especially these two kids, who are both so thoroughly ‘othered’ by this world, and neither of whom will ever really get older. There’s a LOT to dig into here. I headcanon that ghoul children are vanishingly rare, because presumably virtually none of them would have survived the process of ghoulification, so I can’t help thinking about how other ghouls would react to him, perhaps with something close to reverence, and how utterly weird and unnerving that would be. (I also kinda ship Danse/Hancock/Female Sole Survivor, and these two being a way for Danse and Hancock to get over their mutual dislike appeals). Explore the quiet threat never quite spoken aloud that Shaun represents Father being one step ahead of the Sole Survivor all along. Or: survival horror, kids being kids and sneaking into places they shouldn’t be, especially if those places are infested with ghouls (Like the ruins of the Institute for example?); the possibility of Shaun getting a new body the same way Curie does.

For Lucy and the Ghoul, oh baby. The way he treated her when they first met, the finger, her ultimately saving his life and telling him she's not like him (even though she potentially kinda is, or vice versa). I'd love to see something exploring how the two of them might change each other while they’re travelling together whether they’re still in the antagonistic phase of their relationship or if it happens once they’re allies. What's going to happen when she learns who he used to be (and probably still is) and that she grew up watching his films? Western themes and references are very welcome, as are canon divergent fics where they stay together for longer while they're still enemies. What would have happened if they were still travelling together when they find themselves in Vault 4? Or maybe Cooper gets trapped in a simulation of the past and Lucy has to enter his memories of pre-war America to get him back, but something is very wrong with that world.

The way from that moment they’re just… together, and there’s no way Dan is going to do anything other than help Herbert. I love that, and I love the way Dan sticks with Herbert through thick or thin (right up until the moment that he doesn’t, but more of that in a minute). So many things about these two are tailor-made to my id: the combination of earnest/obsessive and likeable/abrasive, the constant touching with Herbert grabbing Dan at every single opportunity (this in particular just freaking delights me XD), the potential for hurt/comfort and protectiveness, and a complicated mixture of loyalty, manipulation, and betrayal that will get me every damn time. I ship them, but fics where their relationship is left entirely platonic (but still with that weird mix of loyalty and betrayal and resentment that I love so much in canon) are just as welcome.
I’d love anything that goes hard on the hurt/comfort and mutual protectiveness between Herbert and Dan, or anything that captures the tone and bonkers exuberance, gore, humour and horror of the films. As far as I’m concerned, at the end of the 3rd film Herbert is 100% going off to find Dan, and I would love something that explores them meeting again post-canon, and how the dynamics between them might shift with a Herbert who’s hurt at the betrayal and bruised by everything he’s been through and a Dan who’s not quite so naive and trusting.

Another favourite horror film, and one I will never get bored of watching. I love how slowly it builds, the setting and the quietly sinister storyline: how it is at heart a pretty traditional ghost story, with added gore. I love the whole thing, and while I like the characters, for this I’m particularly here for the vibes of the film, and have absolutely no preference as to the characters. And, for the record, as far as I’m concerned both the town itself and the eerie fog count as characters for the purposes of this request.
While I do love gore, the moments I particularly like in this film are the quieter, creepier moments – Captain Blake’s voice ranting over the radio while the piece of wood drips water, or the shots of the roiling fog, and the ghost story it opens with. Supposedly, it was originally meant to be a very different kind of film with the gore being a later addition to make it more marketable, and while I love the film as is, part of me would love to see that alternative version and how it could have worked. But if you’d rather go with something closer to the original, I’m absolutely fine with gore too.
Prompts:
- Andy returns to Antonio Bay as an adult. Is he still haunted by what happened, or has he come to believe he imagined it all? Does his presence there set it all going again, or did it never really end in the first place? Or maybe he’s grown up to be driven to investigate the supernatural and there’s another ghost to deal with – Father Malone perhaps, still haunting the church?
- An AU version of the plot (or just part of it) reimagined without the gore and the overt horror. What would that look like? How would it work?
- Follow-on from the end of the film. Has Blake’s thirst for vengeance been satisfied, or is there more to come?
- A character development piece focusing on Father Malone. Perhaps his sacrifice at the end of the film seen through Andy’s eyes?
- Something playing off the ghost story at the start of the film which is such a wonderfully atmospheric moment. I love the idea of the events of the film going on to form their own legend told over a campfire. (Possibly this could be combined with the futurefic prompt?)
Something that focuses on Elizabeth? Does she stick around after the end of the film? And what exactly is going on? Supposedly the ghosts are targetting the descendants of the conspirators, so why target her? (I’m particularly thinking about the mortuary scene here). Wrong place wrong time, or is there more to it than that? Incorporate the twist of the remake if you want, or have Blake develop an obsession with her or her with him (always here for dubcon ghost sex, btw)
- Explore the conflict between Blake as a betrayed innocent party with a potentially valid reason to seek revenge and what he has become by the time of canon events. The way he burns up when he grasps the cross suggests there’s something unholy going on, but he was a good man once. I’d love to see something that delves into the horror of what he’s become, and how they’re trapped, punishing innocents for what was done to them by men long-dead.

I love this series so much. It’s basically made for me, the tone of it, the first two episodes with their quiet almost M.R Jamesian eerie ghost stories reconceptualised as kiiiiind of sci-fi with creepy cosmic horror elements, but they never move away from them as ghost stories. I ship Sapphire/Steel hard, but equally happy with gen.
I'm also completely here for fucked-up bad endings. Follow up on the bleak way the series ends. What do they do together for the rest of eternity stuck in that miserable little greasy spoon? Or give me a horror story, whether more outright horror the more understated canon-style ghost stories, or something closer to canon. One thing I loved about the various assignments was the way they impacted on the various guest stars, so if you want to explore how they’re affected afterwards, please do. Or explore the cosmic horror elements of canon, the creatures moving against them, the transient life forms… and what the hell are the transuranics, anyway?

- Explore the canon ending. I love how bleak it is and the idea of them being trapped together potentially for eternity. Do they age at all? Are the transient beings still fucking with them or have they been completely abandoned? What happened to Silver?
- I really love the idea of Miles and Veronica being called into existence as a Tommy-and-Tuppence style married couple who trip around the 1930s (or a version of the 80s which looks weirdly like the 30s) solving murders whilst being ecstatically in love. Which would be lovely except that their very existence is damaging the fabric of time.
- The mention of the Marie Celeste in the first assignment suggests they don’t necessarily deal with their cases in chronological order. How does that work in practice? Do they jump backwards and forwards in time? Or does time just have no meaning for them so that they don't really experience it in a chronological sense?

Art-wise, I would absolutely love something that captures the atmosphere of canon, or which bumps up the horror elements. And them, just the two of them, the way they stand so close together – which, yes, shippy, but also a little eerie at the same time because of the lack of personal space. The way they touch each other, all those little moments where they hold hands, or Steel kisses her on her cheek or her hand. Ghosts, bannisters, non-Euclidean impossible spaces. Sapphire being serene and elegant while Steel is so tense he’s practically vibrating. And, um, I know this is ridiculous, but I have a bit of a thing about the way Steel goes up and down stairs, so I will be over the moon with anything that incorporates staircases, however you choose to interpret that... (something that plays with Escher-style visuals, or hell, just the two of them on a shadowy staircase in a creepy gothic house -- or conversely, a completely normal modern staircase that nevertheless is skin-crawlingly wrong somehow.)

Well, I didn't expect to come away from watching the Sonic films with a pairing that I ship like burning but here we are. Non-shippy and entirely platonic fics are also welcome of course, although given how shippy their canon dynamic is by default... ehhh, good luck XD. I really appreciated that we saw Robotnik go from hyper-competent and slick in the first film to the absolute wreck of a man that he is at the start of the third, and ultimately to his redemption. I just really freaking loved these films, and I think there's a lot to dig into here in terms of their relationship. For this request, comedy, survival and cosmic horror seem like the most obvious options, (but ALL are welcome).
Prompts:
- Survival horror: There's a lot of potential for survival horror that comes from Robotnik being stranded on the mushroom planet (and that delightful little detail of him fashioning a rock version of Stone for him because he can't do without his devoted minion). I am happy for rock!Stone to stand in for the real thing, but maybe Stone manages to track down a ring and follow him there, leading to the two of them trying to survive.
- Crossover: I'm not sure what it is, but I get such strong Special Agent Milton Dammers (from The Frighteners) vibes from Robotnik in the first film, and it freaking delights me. So what gives? A haunting? Some kind of top-secret government experiment when Robotnik first started working for the government? Robotic supersoldiers operated by ghosts? And at some point, Robotnik modelled himself on Dammers, but like, a hotter, slicker, more competent version with a sense of humour?
- Cosmic Horror: with all the implications of the Chaos Emerald and the potential it has for turning him into an all-powerful eldritch horror (and it kills me firstly that Stone begs Robotnik to take him with him, and that Robotnik does.) (Tentacles rather than lightning, perhaps?)
- Or rather than a full-blown cosmic monstrosity, maybe Robotnik is experienng some lingering after-effects of the Emerald
- Came Back Wrong - for either character, really, but maybe Stone is badly injured so Robotnik is trying to create a new body to transfer his mind into
- They're amnesiacs stuck in what is apparently a coffeeshop AU, but something is very badly wrong

It’s a curious one, because the things that mean it doesn’t work that well as a horror film for me (the CGI smoke-monster climax! The criminal underuse of Dr Vannacutt!) are the exact same things that make the question of what the hell is going on significantly more interesting. I'd love to see the mythology of the house dug into, because I have a lot of unanswered questions. Like the walled off room we finally see towards the end where Vannacutt used to dump his corpses, and in the middle of the room there’s a chair, just sitting right in front of the rubble, which is the creepiest fucking thing. Why is that chair there? Did Vannacutt sit on it, staring into the rubble, listening to the Shadow talk to him? (And while I’m not hugely keen on the canon introduced by the second film, I do quite like the way it expands on the way the house seduces people, the idea of good if flawed people being corrupted, and the suggestion that Vannacutt wasn’t always evil).
And then there’s Pritchett, a traumatised asshole woobie packed with neuroses, who clearly has a boat-load of issues with the house. It’s not immediately clear whether he actually used to live in the house or not, but he’s clearly spent a lot of time there and he’s familiar with it enough to know the history of the house, his way around the basement, and quite a lot about how it’s haunted, including the existence of the Darkness/Shadow and Dr Vannacutt. I’d love to see something about his previous experiences with it, what happened with his grandfather/father, and what it was like growing up in the vicinity of that house, whether he lived there or not. And I am completely here for the house’s attempts to seduce him.

The stained glass window, the steampunky aspects of the Saturation Chamber, the Shadow’s nightmarish appearance at the end and the way they used naked women as part of its imagery, the architecture of the house, the sculptures in the basement, and all the visions of horror the various characters see. Something precanon in which Pritchett visits the house and while nothing quite happens on the surface it’s all going on in the background? Or alternatively all-out schlocky horror is good with me too. Vannacutt having a conversation with the house in the room where he dumped the bodies? Historical detail is particularly welcome.
